Unlike traditional double or triple glazing that relies on inert gases like Argon, Vacuum Insulated Glass creates a vacuum seal between two panes of glass, virtually eliminating conductive and convective heat transfer.
Currently, the market for VIG is expanding rapidly in Europe, North America, and East Asia. The rise of "Hybrid VIG" (combining a vacuum unit with a standard insulated glass unit) provides even greater thermal resistance and acoustic insulation, making it ideal for airports and noisy urban centers.
Standard VIG can be as thin as 8mm-12mm while outperforming 36mm triple glazing. This allows for lighter frames and more aesthetic architectural designs.
