What is U Glass?

U glass is produced through calendaring and forming, resulting in its signature "U" shape cross-section. It is highly valued in modern architecture for its light transmittance, thermal insulation, energy efficiency, and high mechanical strength. It significantly reduces the need for heavy metal profiles compared to standard glass installations.
U Channel Glass Specifications

Available in Normal Clear, Tinted Blue, Tinted Green, Low Iron, and Ultra Clear options. Customized sizes and patterns are fully supported.

Tempering & Safety

The tempering process for channel glass (up to 20' long) involves specialized three-dimensional custom ovens. This heat treatment increases the glass strength to 10,000 psi or greater, making it 3-4 times stronger than annealed glass.
